Be sure to check out the matching pattern for the Watermelon Slice Dishcloth.

Materials:
Worsted weight cotton in the colours Red, Forest Green, and Lemon-Lime (or similar colours that work for you.)
5 mm (US 8) needles

**Special Abbreviation: ssk - this is an alternative to the old psso decrease. To ssk, you slip the next two stitches knitwise, then insert the tip of the left hand needle into the front of these two stitches, then knit them together. If you prefer, you could always use the psso decrease instead. (Slip 1, knit one, pass slipped stitch over), but I find the ssk is quicker and neater.

Using Forest Green, cast on 29 stitches.

Row 1: purl
Row 2: knit
Row 3: purl

Cut Forest Green and join Lemon-Lime.
Row 4: purl
Row 5: k2tog, k11, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k11, ssk. (25 st)

Cut Lemon-Lime and join Red
Row 6 (and all evenly numbered rows): purl
Row 7: k2tog, k9, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k9, ssk. (21 st)
Row 9: k2tog, k7, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k7, ssk. (17 st)
Row 11: k2tog, k5, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k5, ssk. (13 st)
Row 13: k2tog, k3, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k3, ssk. (9 st)
Row 15: k2tog, k1, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k1, ssk. (5 st)
Row 17: k2tog, k1, k2tog (3 st)

Break yarn leaving 12" tail. Pull tail through last 3 stitches, and sew edges together to form a triangular "slice".
